Cadbury is on the lookout for new chocolate bar inventors

Cadbury is on the hunt for chocolate fans to create a new bar.

As discussed on the Ginger and Nuts Show, chocoholics across the country have the chance to create the bar of their dreams – and have it stocked in supermarkets and newsagents.

The Bournville-based chocolate giant wants you to put forward your ideas as they aim to create their next must-have product.

Madbury for Cadbury

The firm, behind favourites like Dairy Milk, Twirl and Flakes, is launching its annual Inventor Competition, which gives you the chance to create something good enough to stock on supermarket shelves.

If successful, your product will feature alongside a raft of other Cadbury favourites, from Caramel and Double Decker bars to Bournville chocolate.

Applicants can select from over 90,000 different flavour combinations online.

There, they can design and name the chocolate treat they wish to have created.

Among the ingredient options are raisins, almonds and raspberries, as well as more exotic flavours, including Dijon mustard, tomato, spicy chilli, popping candy and rose.

Three shortlisted candidates will then be invited to the Cadbury Chocolate Centre of Excellence in Bournville, where they will work with chocolate experts to make their creations a reality.

The winning bar will subsequently be added to the brand’s leading Dairy Milk range and made available nationally, stocked in stores, supermarkets and newsagents for three months.
